Group Leaders
As we prepare to close yet another year, we have carefully considered how we might improve the efficiency of the camp. Accordingly, we have revised and updated some of our policies. Our goal in doing so is to take the guess work out of making reservations for our groups, while also considering what must be done to keep CBR running smoothly. We wanted to bring to your attention some of the most significant changes for your consideration as you begin planning your 2011 retreat.
- Reservations for ‘Exclusive Use’ of CBR are still possible and welcome. However, there are some slight modifications to our policy. An additional $500 charge will apply to all exclusive reservations. Please refer to the application for more details.
- The kitchen at Camp Blue Ridge will no longer be available as a rental facility. This change is necessary in order for us to comply with our food service license. CBR is blessed with a wonderful cook and a very capable kitchen crew. We will do everything we can to meet your dietary needs. We understand that CBR serves many groups that prefer to bring along their own cook. If your group desires to bring a cook to work alongside the CBR staff, please contact the camp.
- You will find some slight changes with the food service options. If your group desires to reduce the cost of food service, you may choose to provide some kitchen help for our cook. Please see the Rate Sheet for details.
- There is now a fee for the use of the PA system. This will help offset the cost of maintaining the system.
- No pets are permitted at Camp Blue Ridge.
This is not an exhaustive list of changes made for the upcoming 2011 year at CBR, so please be sure to review each page of your information packet carefully. If you find you have further questions, feel free to contact us. We look forward to serving you in the coming year.
